About 5 years ago when I first thought about creating a web site I had an idea of what I wanted it to represent but had no idea how difficult it would be to narrow down my message and create a cohesive “story”. I hoped the site would encourage people to come together…to open their minds…broaden their understanding and be less judgmental of those who’s opinions were different than their own. I hoped to enlighten…to encourage a change in attitudes and to teach each of us to find respect for those whose ideas are different than our own. I wanted to inspire and empower people to find their passion and have the courage to pursue what ever that might be… to be honest about their needs…and to be able to ask for support for their endeavors when they needed it. It’s easy to subscribe to the theory that anyone can be anything they want and although that’s a lovely idea the practical application is different indeed. Resources don’t usually fall into our laps…dreams come true but it takes hard work and the necessary support to make them a reality.
I realized after researching pages on Social Media I needed to broaden my goals. I found many that offered encouragement for self- love and inspiration and “can do” attitudes…some offered educational skills for all kinds of endeavors but I could not find a site that showcased a cross section of them all. If my goal was to help people develop an “anything’s possible” philosophy I was now challenged to build a site that would not only empower and encourage but would create a network. To become a tool that would connect us to those who might provide insight and experience… to help us navigate a pathway to success avoiding pit falls whenever possible…hopefully to share what worked and what didn’t when they began their venture. I also wanted to connect people who could share their emotional experiences. Just hearing the words “I’ve been there before.” can make a huge difference when we think we can’t climb over the mountain of doubt blocking our path.
If we are going to survive as a society we have to come together…we need to listen…really listen to understand…to start a dialog to come to a compromise or we will not have any chance of moving forward. Pink Bulldozer will attempt to be a conduit to build better communication and acceptance. We will embrace ideas that exemplify these qualities presenting varied ideologies while inspiring people to accomplish their personal goals. We will showcase individuals and companies who are dedicated to making positive change…we hope to encourage those resisting compromise to be more open to opposing ideas…to find sympathy and compassion for the other guy…This will be what saves us from destruction.
